As of December 31, 2008, the company owned and operated 480 Medicare-certified home health agencies and 48 Medicare-certified hospice agencies; and managed the operations of 4 Medicare-certified home health and 2 Medicare-certified hospice agencies in 37 states within the United States, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Amedisys was founded in 1982 and is headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. |
