| The investment seeks total return comprised of long-term capital appreciation and current income. The fund invests principally in equity securities of approximately 30 to 50 large-capitalization companies, the majority of which pay dividends. It normally invests at least 80% of assets in securities of large-capitalization companies and up to 25% of assets in foreign securities through ADRs and similar investments. The fund may also invest in equity securities of foreign issuers through ADRs and similar investments.
