Bowtie CEO Michael Chan: the search for health information just exploded

Michael Chan, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Bowtie Life Insurance Company, told us about what he saw during the pandemic. “I think one immediate thing we saw was a lot more interest in health content online, just the health awareness, the search for health information just exploded,” he said, “a huge explosion of health awareness, health content consumption.” He expects that will continue.

He also commented on the future of the insurance industry in the region. “I believe we can start changing that, which is we don't have to be pushing insurance onto people and people can accept it as part of, you know, a lot of their other finances, payments, for example, is very, very digitized nowadays.”
