Credit Suisse Southeast Asia FIG Head To Join Deutsche Bank In Coming Months: Report

• Nick Thursby, Credit Suisse Group AG's (NYSE: CS) head of the financial institutions' group in Southeast Asia, will help lead Deutsche Bank AG's (NYSE: DB) investment banking for FIG deals.

• The Singapore-based banker will take up his new post in the coming months and work on mergers & acquisitions and initial public offerings of financial institutions in Southeast Asia.

• Thursby worked at Credit Suisse for over eight years until 2018 and rejoined the lender in 2022 after working at HSBC Holdings Plc (NYSE: HSBC) in the interim, Bloomberg reported citing his LinkedIn profile.

• Following UBS Group AG's (NYSE: UBS) $3.2 billion purchase of Credit Suisse, its financial peers have snapped up its assets. Deutsche Bank has been among the most aggressive, seeking to poach clients, wealth management, and investment banking staff. Deutsche Bank hiring several of the Swiss firm's bankers in Asia.

• "We're a natural home for some of those client relationships and people, and that's an opportunity we'll look to capitalize on," Deutsche Bank Chief Financial Officer James von Moltke told Bloomberg TV on Thursday.
