Merck Beats On Q4 earnings, Anticipates Almost 80% Decline In COVID-19 Treatment Sales In 2023

  • Merck & Co Inc's (NYSE: MRKQ4 sales reached $13.8 billion, +2% Y/Y, beating the consensus of $13.67 billion. Excluding the foreign exchange impact, revenues were up 8%.

  • Pharmaceutical sales increased by 1% to $12.2 billion. Excluding the unfavorable impact of foreign exchange, pharmaceutical sales grew 9%, primarily driven by oncology and hospital acute care, partially offset by diabetes.
