ADAM SHAPIRO: We're paying attention to increases in coronavirus infections. For instance, New York City, what, they now say the fastest growing increases are the 20 to 29-year age group. But California is something we're paying attention to. Anjalee Khemlani brings us up to speed there. Anjalee?

ANJALEE KHEMLANI: Thanks, Adam. Yeah, unfortunately, California is having to roll back and reverse its reopening plans after seeing some really surging cases. They're averaging about 7,000 to 9,000 new cases a day in the past week and really concerned about what to do about that. So indoor dining, bars, and movie theaters are closed once again. There are some counties looking at distance learning for school this fall, which has really set a tone for the conversation on that nationwide as we look at what the potential options are for the upcoming school year.

Meanwhile, we see around the country, whether you're looking at Arizona, Texas, Florida. Some of those key concerning states of the entire Sunbelt really struggles with these surging cases, whether you're talking about hospital cases, hospitalizations, ICU bed use, or just, generally, the testing of that, as well as shortages of those testing supplies and personal protective gear.
