e.g. a)  The problem of transport arises if the whole company goes there for the exhibition.

       b)   They aroused us from sleep.

       c)   The crane raised the heavy load from the construction site.

      d)    Usually she rises at seven.

e.g. a) I try to avoid speaking withthat troublesome colleague.

        b) What prevented you from joining the meeting?

e.g. a) She has been to Shenzhen. (But she’s now back in Hong Kong.)

        b) He has gone to Shenzhen. (He is still there.)

e.g. a) She wanted to borrow $1000 from the boss but he refused to lend it to her.

e.g. a)   The doctor cured him of cancer.

        b)   The wound gradually healed.

        c)  The doctor gave him some medicine to relieve the pain in his stomach and he soon recovered.

e.g. a) How would you do that?

        b) Do you know how they make cheese?
