Stocks Waver Before the Close

Wall Street’s main indexes fluctuated between gains and losses on Wednesday, even as the tech heavyweights tried to lift market sentiment. The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 were both down 0.1% at 2:20 p.m. Eastern, while the Nasdaq Composite was flat. Tesla on Tuesday said it was accelerating the development of its lower-priced electric vehicle, while Texas Instruments’ revenue projection, at midpoint, for the second quarter was higher than market estimates.
