Tony Dohi, principal research and development imagineer at Walt Disney Imagineering, explained that the team's goal was to create a robot that could connect with guests on an emotional level. To achieve this, they used high-performance materials and motion-capture data, allowing the robot to perform on a unique emotional level. The robot's dynamic movements and toughness make her a sight to behold, but it's her ability to evoke genuine emotion that sets her apart from other animatronic characters.
