【商業英語】面試遇尖銳問題點答好？（Frankie Chan）

求職面試中的常見問題，對有充足準備的讀者而言，應是駕輕就熟，但如僱主突然問了一些尖銳的問題，殺你一個措手不及，大多數應徵者或會面有難色，甚至極度不自然，表現當然不太理想。其實，當被問及那些「難題」時，大家無需害怕，只要能巧妙地避重就輕，就可免卻跌進僱主問題的陷阱，輕鬆地見招拆招。

以下一些例子，希望能帶給讀者一些點子及啟示，把那些尖銳問題答得漂亮，於云云應徵者中脫穎而出。

1) Q: Why have you been so long with your present employer?

為甚麼你在現任公司工作了那麼長時間？

A: I’ve been there for a few years, but in a variety of roles （崗位）.

或The job was growing constantly （持續地） with numerous challenges, so it felt as if I was undergoing frequent changes without actually changing employers.

 

2) Q: Why have you been such a short time with your present employer?

為甚麼你在現任公司工作了那麼短時間？

A: I’d like to settle in one company for at least several years, but I’ve found up until now that I’ve had to move in order to widen my experience and avoid getting stale （厭倦） in the job.

 

3) Q: Why haven’t you found a new job yet after being unemployed for a long time?

為甚麼你失業了那麼久還沒有找到新工作？

A: It’s important that I only accept a job that seems really a good fit for me, and where I can see that I can make a contribution （貢獻） to the company.

或 I’ve had job offers, but I didn’t feel the positions were right for me, and that I was right for the companies concerned either.

 

4) Q: When would you expect a promotion? 你期望何時會被升職？

A:   I would hope to be promoted once I have demonstrated my value to the company, and shown that I’m worth it. That’s why I want to join a growing company so that there are plenty of opportunities for me to move up when I have gained the necessary skills and experience.

 

5) Q: How do you resolve conflict in your team? 你怎樣解決團隊中的衝突？

回答這條時，大家不妨包括以下4點：

• Be fair  要公平

• Address problems with individuals privately    與個別員工私下處理問題

• Get to the root of the problem    找出問題的根源

• Find a solution that the people involved are happy about    找出一個所有員工都滿意的解決辦法

 

6) Q: You may be over-qualified for this job.  你可能對於這工作而言資歷過高。

A: I strongly believe that creative and dynamic（充滿活力的）companies can always use whatever talents （有才幹者） in hand. I want to make it clear that I would love to stay with your company and I’m sure the company will find a way to keep me challenged and allow me to make a solid contribution.
