Consumer electronics giant Apple on Monday will outline its plans to incorporate artificial intelligence into its products.
Apple officially launched a long-awaited AI-powered Siri voice interface during the 2024 Worldwide Developers Conference keynote. Shares fell slightly in the wake of the announcement, suggesting investors weren't particularly impressed with the announcement. Siri will be powered by the company's just announced "Apple Intelligence" platform.
CEO Tim Cook said Apple's new AI platform would be called "Apple Intelligence." Apple made the announcement as part of the keynote address at the 2024 Worldwide Developers Conference. Apple Intelligence includes new writing tools for summarizing and editing text, as well as image generation for photos, emojis, and GIFs.
