Calamos Strategic Total Return Fund is a closed ended balanced mutual fund launched by Calamos Investments LLC. The fund is managed by Calamos Advisors LLC. It invests in the public equity and fixed income markets of the United States. The fund seeks to invest in securities of companies operating across diversified sectors. It primarily invests in common and preferred stocks of companies across all market capitalizations, convertible securities, and high yield corporate bonds with an average credit rating of BB as rated by S&P. The fund employs both fundamental and quantitative analysis with a combination of bottom-up and top-down security picking approaches to create its portfolio.
