CSSC Offshore & Marine Engineering (Group) Company Limited manufactures and sells marine and defense equipment in the People's Republic of China, other regions in Asia, Europe, North America, and Africa. The company also engages in the metal and non-metallic shipbuilding, ship design, shipbuilding, design and fabrication of metal structures, ship outfitting manufacture and installation, ship removal and conversion, and ship repair activities; repair, debugging, and maintenance of shipboard equipment and system; provision of engineering and technical consulting, information transmission, and software and information technology services; manufacture of equipment for railways, aerospace, and other transportation facilities; ship leasing; manufacture of offshore wind power and ocean engineering, and production of clean energy. The company was formerly known as Guangzhou Shipyard International Company Limited and changed its name to CSSC Offshore & Marine Engineering (Group) Company Limited in June 2015. The company was founded in 1954 and is headquartered in Guangzhou, the People's Republic of China.
