US STOCKS-Wall Street extends gains as rate-cut hopes linger
U.S. stock indexes rose on Tuesday, extending their recent run on expectations that the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates this year, while a drop in Walt Disney shares following quarterly results limited overall market gains. Walt Disney fell 9.7%, on track for its biggest percentage fall since November 2022, as a surprise profit in its streaming entertainment division was eclipsed by a drop in its traditional TV business and weaker box office.

UPDATE 1-Tesla to shut down production at German plant for 4 days - Handelsblatt
Tesla will shut down production in its German plant in Gruenheide for four days due to protests against its expansion plans, German newspaper Handelsblatt reported on Tuesday. The electric car manufacturer is sending all employees to work from home on Friday, according to an email seen by Handelsblatt that was sent to employees on Monday. Production will end with the late shift on Wednesday and begin again with the night shift on Sunday, Handelsblatt said.
