中國AI晶片公司傳降規設計 以確保可繞美制裁交台積電生產
《路透》引述消息指，一些中國人工智能(AI)晶片公司正在設計規格較低的處理器，以便在美國制裁的情況下，仍可以繼續交由台積電進行生產。消息人士指，美國去年10月實施的最新出口管制，暴露了中國先進晶片生產能力有限，以及中國AI晶片設計公司仍十分依賴全球領先晶片代工廠台積電。據報，中國兩家頂尖的AI晶片公司沐曦(MetaX)和燧原科技(Enflame)於去年底向台積電提交降規的晶片設計，以符合美國的限制規定。總部位於上海的沐曦已經開發出一款名為C280的降規產品，並稱其最先進的GPU產品C500今年早些時候在中國已經缺貨。消息指，儘管中國估計有44家晶圓代工廠，但只有中芯國際(00981)能夠大批量生產先進GPU，但中芯的產能是完全預留給華為。報道指，中芯今年同意將一定限度的產能分配給受美國直接制裁、被禁止在海外代工的中國AI晶片公司。其中一家是有國家背景的寒武紀。消息指，2022年底美國對寒武紀採取限制措施，擔心其可能向中國軍方提供AI晶片技術，令該公司其後一直處境艱難。 (ST)#台積電

Some Chinese AI chip companies are now designing less powerful processors to retain access to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC) production in the face of U.S. sanctions, four people with knowledge of the matter said. Aiming to impede breakthroughs in artificial intelligence and supercomputing by China's military, Washington has imposed a series of export controls on highly sophisticated processors from companies such as Nvidia and on chip manufacturing equipment.
